Abstract.
The article is devoted to the categorial analysis of the English physical terminology. The tasks of the work include the study of the logical-conceptual system of the highly specialized field of physical knowledge for the identification of universal conceptual categories with the purpose of the subsequent systematization of the terminology of physics. As a result of the research, the categorial model of the English terminology of the physics of low-dimensional systems is developed for the first time and the cases of categorial polysemy of physical terminology are revealed.
