Abstract. The authors discuss the possibility of using information and communication technologies, in particular, Internet resources for educational purposes in different aspects. From the didactic viewpoint the paper analyzes the advantages of using multi-media educational sites within the foreign language curriculum for non-linguistic higher school which involve the availability and relevance of authentic materials and the extended possibilities for inter-cultural communication.
