THE CONCEPT “COLD” IN THE POETICAL CYCLE BY J. BRODSKY “A PART OF SPEECH”

Abstract.
The article examines the problem of representing author’s worldview through cognitive metaphor in the poetical text. As an example the author analyzes metaphorical representation of the concept COLD in the poetical cycle by J. Brodsky “A Part of Speech”. The paper concludes on the development of mental images associated with the concept COLD and on the perception of this concept in the mentioned poetical work. The images of poetical cycle are represented as metaphorical models with frame-slot structure.
