Abstract. The article discusses the issues of the functioning of the Russian language in modern Armenia, its status and role in the development of information literacy of the young generation. The improvement of the quality of teaching the Russian language and its spread in the republic will create conditions for more active involvement of the young generation of Armenia in the global information space and large opportunities of education of a well-rounded personality.
