ARCHETYPE OF THE SEEKER FOR THE TRUTH IN THE MODERN SCIENTIFIC THOUGHT

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the definition of the place of the Truth Seeker archetype in the modern scientific thought. At the same time the author turns to the problem of the formation of the theory of cultural/literary archetypes. When studying the question of the competence of using the term “archetype of the Seeker for the Truth” a survey of the foreign and Russian researchers of this issue is given. The author of the article comes to the conclusion about the actual existence of this archetypical category in the cultural unconscious and for the first time gives its scientific substantiation, referring to F. R. Liis’s philosophical doctrine of 1846-1849, not covered in the Russian science yet.
