PILGRIMAGE SYMBOLS IN S. YESENIN‘S EARLY LYRICS

Abstract. The article identifies and analyzes the notions referring to pilgrimage motive in S. Yesenin’s pre-October lyrics. This motive is transparent in poet’s creative work and is realized through the objects, lexical units, images, details, phenomena which make it easy to identify the presence of a pilgrim in the pages of his works. The researcher analyzes in detail pilgrim figures, their clothing, the route they follow, associated attributes and examines linguistic representation of the mentioned theme.
