ANALYSIS OF SWADESH’S CRYPTOTYPE IN IMPLICIT GRAMMAR BY THE MATERIAL OF THE MODERN ENGLISH PRESS

Abstract.
The article reveals the content of the notion of the cryptotype proposed by M. Swadesh in implicit grammar by the material of the modern English press. One of the important categories that are on par with B. Whorf’s cryptotype in the implicit grammar of most Indo-European languages is the notion described by M. Swadesh. The author focuses on the fact that this phenomenon has a hidden meaning. The meaning of this phenomenon is functionally significant in grammar, it can be revealed only by means of linguistic analysis.
