Abstract. The article considers the peculiarities of professionally-oriented teaching Russian as a foreign language. The authors discuss such aspects as inter-disciplinary coordination, the introduction of professional vocabulary and terminology at the initial stage of studying the Russian language, acquaintance with the socio-cultural and ethno-culturological characteristics of the country of the target language.
