FEATURES OF SPACE DEPICTION IN MYTHOLOGICAL TALES (BY THE EXAMPLE OF STORIES OF THE RUSSIAN POPULATION OF EASTERN SIBERIA)

Abstract.
The article presents the analysis of peculiarities of space depiction in the mythological stories (fabulates-memorates) of the Russian population of Eastern Siberia. In the analysis of texts of fabulates-memorates the author finds out that the space in the mythological stories is actualized with varying degrees of certainty. Thus, the highest degree of referential specificity is observed in the exposition, but as the plot moves to a climax, the certainty of the reference of space is reduced to a minimum.
