FEATURES OF PHRASAL VERBS IN MODERN ENGLISH AND THEIR USE IN THE LANGUAGE OF PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article focuses on phrasal verbs in modern English. The author considers the main features of phrasal verbs, their functioning in speech, both on domestic and on professional level. The paper gives examples of phrasal verbs, their lexical-semantic variants, related both to everyday colloquial and specialized vocabulary. The author analyzes phrasal verbs, referring to the contemporary phraseological dictionaries, proving that they can be a full part of the language of professional communication.
