Abstract.
The article considers the linguistic features of fake news from the point of view of media-linguistics. The analysis of fake news in the English media is topical to the understanding of the process of modern global information space formation. It is concluded that the plan of fake news expression is more important than its content, so to attract the attention of readers there are various linguistic means used in it, such as, for example, metaphors and stylistically marked vocabulary.
