Abstract.
The article deals with the use of graphons in the English language. The insufficient study of this linguistic means in its wide-spread occurrence and use by various groups of people has served as the reason for carrying out this research and creating this work. In the article the English literature translated by the author on related topics, such as eye dialect, contraction, and relaxed pronunciation, is used as a material for the analysis. The Internet research aimed at studying the attitude of people to the use of graphons is developed and conducted, and the results of this survey are given. The examples of the use of graphons in writing are shown.
