Abstract.
The article studies the image of the house and its interpretation in the modern Tatar prose. The image of the house in the meanings “house - basis”, “house - village”, “house - nature”, “house - native land”, “house - people, nation” continues to be used by modern prose writers. There is also its use as a symbol of the Soviet regime, power and society. The study shows that the image of the house is increasingly enriched with new semantic nuances. The author reveals moral values in the creative work of the modern Tatar prose writers such as R. Zaidulla, M. Kabirov, R. Galiullin, S. Yakupova and the vectors of this archetype interpretation by the writers.
