SPOKEN ENGLISH GRAMMAR: FEATURES

Abstract. The article gives a description of spoken grammar - a new direction in the English language, which is actively studied both from theoretical and practical point of view. The reasons for its appearance are explained, the features of colloquial speech and its differences from written one are listed. Particular attention is focused on frequency structures and expressions, which are analyzed in detail using examples from the living colloquial speech corpus. The author offers her own translation of the main terms, avoiding calques, and argues in favor of studying this section of grammar.
