Abstract.
The article describes the semantics of phytonyms from nominative, culturological viewpoint. To achieve the research objective the authors develop semantic field and analyze thematic groups of plant nominations in the Korean and Yakut languages. The paper provides information on the Korean and Yakut phytonyms, examines their semantic characteristics, identifies and explains the similarities and differences between the Korean and Yakut phytonyms. The study for the first time proposes general thematic classification of the Yakut and Korean plant nominations.
