DEFORMING THE MEANING OF THE CONCEPT “GOOD” AS AN INDICATOR OF SPIRITUALITY LEVEL (BY THE EXAMPLE OF ZAKHAR PRILEPIN’S NOVEL “ABODE”)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying historical meaning of the concept GOOD and other words of this lexical line which serve to express author’s viewpoint, to characterize images and to formulate the basic idea of the novel in Zakhar Prilepin’s creative work. According to the researcher, in post-revolutionary epoch the meaning of the concept GOOD and its derivatives has been distorted in such a way that from the spiritual sphere representing the relations between the human and God it transferred into the sphere of human’s physiological functionality, indicating the catastrophic decay of spirituality leading to aggression and misanthropy. Only the priesthood preserved the original meanings of evangelical words and expressions: grace, blessed, gracious and many others.
