Abstract.
The article examines the socio-cultural aspect of the French phraseological units with the component “phytonym”. The units that have an element associated with the plant world in their structure (these are not only the names of plants, but also the names of parts of plants, fruits, their associations, etc.) belong to this kind of phraseological units. The study of these units contributes to the identification of the specificity of human behavior comprehension by the representatives of the French culture, relations in society in terms of the plant world.
