Abstract.
The article examines the English variational phraseological units as the means to evaluate the category “Human Health”. Phraseological units are classified into the following types: thematic, synonymic, associative, with different images and combined. Analyzing axiologically relevant images of variational phraseological units the author concludes on their common cognitive basis. The analysis of the category “Human Health” indicates that it is determined by conceptual features: physical, mental and emotional.
