Abstract.
The article analyzes the concept “immigrant”, its components, inventoried in the discourse of the German media, as well as the ways of its language actualization. The research is conducted on the basis of the cognitive-discursive paradigm associated with the conceptual analysis. In addition, the methods of a semantic and derivational analysis are used. As a product of discourse, the information-analytical texts presented on the websites of the printed editions “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, “Frankfurter AllgemeineZeitung”, “Welt”, “Bremer Sprachlog”, “SWR International” are considered.
