Abstract.
The purpose of the article is the practical application of intermedial elaborations of domestic and foreign scholars in the field of literature and culture by the example of A. P. Chekhov’s “Three Years” (1895). The paper focuses on the intermedial method of a text analysis. The topicality of the work is conditioned by the growing interest in media theories and the synthesis of various types of art. An attempt is made to show how visually marked zones, the so-called visual attractors, act as carriers of actual and potentially new meanings in the context of intermedial poetics.
