SPECIFICITY OF ESSAY GENRE IN THE NATIONAL LITERATURE BY THE EXAMPLE OF M. GALIEV’S CREATIVE WORK

Abstract.
The article considers the essay genre in the modern Tatar prose. The paper aims at studying this phenomenon, the peculiarities of its content and form by the material of the Tatar writer M. Galiev’s creative work. The author argues that the analyzed text is basically the memories on the Soviet epoch, in which the demythologizing function predominates and nationality problems are hotly discussed. The research findings testify that Galiev’s creative work represents the paradigm of the genre evolution, discovers the possibilities of combining epical and lyrical elements within the essay genre in the modern national prose.
