PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATING THE MEANINGS OF THE BORROWED FRENCH TERMS OF ELECTRIC CAR ENGINEERING INTO RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH

Abstract.
The subject matter of the article is conditioned by the novelty of the terminological system of electric car engineering and the relevance of the industry. In this connection, the problem of the adequate translation of the borrowed French terms of electric car engineering into English and Russian arises. The purpose of the work is to reveal differences in the ways of translating simple and complex terms taking into account the peculiarities of the mentioned languages. It is ascertained that the meaning of the French term is expressed in the English language by searching for an equivalent unit and calquing. Its translations into Russian are characterized by descriptive translation, semantic development and complete transformation.
