LINGUO-TRANSLATION FEATURES OF A COMPLEX SENTENCE (BASED ON SCIENTIFIC TEXT)

Abstract. The article considers scientific text within its functional-stylistic features, identifies its functional-stylistic characteristics in relation to a complex sentence as a construct of the text as a whole, studies the syntactic features of a complex sentence, and identifies modern approaches to the translation of a complex sentence taking into account relevant syntactic transformations. The author determines the influence of the syntactic structure of a complex sentence on the choice of the translation strategy when interpreting scientific text from English into Russian.
