Abstract.
In the article, the authors present the results of the research of the linguo-stylistic peculiarities of political speeches by the example of Donald Trump’s public speeches, where various linguo-stylistic methods to create expressiveness are actively used. At the syntactic level, these are syntactic parallelism, emphatic constructions, and inversion; at the lexical level - lexical repetitions, epithets, antithesis and metaphor. The use of different types of language means makes the president’s speeches emotional, figurative and memorable, the high degree of expressiveness allows influencing the audience’s minds and receiving the implied response more efficiently.
