Abstract.
The article deals with the ways of translating terms and free phrases in the field of forestry from English into Russian. The purpose of the study is to identify the most frequent translation models in the selected texts. The novelty of the research is in determining the prevailing translation transformations in texts on forestry. The obtained data show that for the maximum accuracy of the translation, the techniques, which are aimed at capacity and conciseness, are used. Parallel texts from the magazine “Greenpeace” were taken as research material.
