Abstract.
The article discusses the functioning of complex subordinate clauses of reason with the conjunction “weil” in the modern German language in the genre of the editorial and ways of their translation into the Russian language. The study examines the position of the subordinate clause of reason as a part of the complex sentence, as well as the tense forms characteristic of this type of sentences. On the basis of the proposed work conclusions are made about similarities and differences in the functioning of subordinate clauses of reason in the German and Russian languages.
