PECULIARITIES OF AUTHOR’S INDIVIDUAL STYLE IN A. MUNRO’S STORIES

Abstract.
The article analyses the author’s individual style of the modern Canadian authoress Alice Munro by the example of her short stories. The originality of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the researcher pays special attention to the verbal and compositional realization of the author’s style and identifies the prevalence of certain stylistic peculiarities of her narration. The findings indicate that the high level of a modern reader’s involvement into narration is achieved due to specific compositional arrangement, which is based on reflexive event representation and manifests itself basically in the syntactical aspect.
