DEVELOPMENT OF BANKING TERMINOLOGY OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION AND ECONOMIC GLOBALIZATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of banking terminology development in the French language under the conditions of economic globalization and the European integration. The process of banking terms borrowing from the English language as a result of the increasing status of the English language in business communication is studied. The author considers and analyses the main ways of borrowing, as well as the processes of the English loanwords adaptation in the banking lexicon of the French language. The paper makes an important methodological distinction between a loanword and a loanword-neologism.
