Abstract. The article is devoted to identifying the specificity of the linguistic representation of Russia’s image in political discourse. The study focuses on analysing the US President Donald Trump’s speeches of 2017-2019. The findings allow concluding that Russia’s image in the American President’s discourse has the following semantic components: Russia is the USA’s ally, the USA’s rival, a destabilizer of the state system, a source of danger, an ally of hostile regimes. It is shown that the basic linguistic means to actualize Russia’s image are direct and negative-evaluative nominations.
