Abstract.
Periodization of literature is an important problem of the modern Turkic studies. From this viewpoint, the study of the Republican period of the Turkish novel, from the 1920s to the present day, is relevant and valuable. There are different views on this problem, but controversial issues require discussion. The research objective involves a comprehensive comparative analysis of the Turkish novel of the Republican period. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author provides a comprehensive analysis of this problem using a wide range of sources and identifying the typical features of periodization.
