Combinatorial Peculiarities of the Lexemes “Election” and “Seçim” in Poetical Texts of Political Orientation

Abstract.
The article analyses combinatorial peculiarities of the lexemes “election” and “seçim” in the English and Turkish poetical texts - elements of political discourse. The author identifies the combinatorial potential of the mentioned lexemes in poetical texts, reveals similarities and differences in the structure and semantics of the English and Turkish word-combinations with the lexemes “election” and “seçim”, considers specificity of their functioning in poetical texts in comparison with the mass media texts. Special attention is paid to analysing the notions “collocation” and “political discourse”; the role and place of poetical texts in the genre space of political discourse are determined.
