Abstract.
The article examines functioning of addresses in children’s literature from the viewpoint of the communicative-pragmatic approach. The research objective includes identifying semantic and pragmatic specificity of addresses in Vitaly Bianki’s prose. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that for the first time by the material of children’s prose by Vitaly Bianki the authors consider expressive potential of addresses and ways of its realization in literary text. The research findings are as follows: the authors identify and analyse six basic types of addresses in V. V. Bianki’s stories. The proposed classification is based on lexico-grammatical and functional features of nominative lexemes. It is shown that addresses are a meaningful text-formative and stylistic element of the writer’s prose.
