Abstract.
The study aims to identify relevant semantic features of the concept HAUS in the German linguistic consciousness. The paper focuses on analysing the results of a free associative experiment with multiple reactions conducted among the German ethnos representatives. Scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that the authors clarify the status of the concept HAUS in the modern German linguo-cultural consciousness, reveal its relevant semantic content, identify changes in the concept structure. The research findings are as follows: the authors describe semantic features of the concept HAUS typical of modern linguistic consciousness, show that they are determined by age and conclude that the concept under study has a multidimensional structure, which gradually transforms under the influence of global extra-linguistic factors.
