Abstract.
The purpose of the research is to shed light on the range of issues associated with the ethnocultural features of Boris Kharsiev’s creative work. Special attention is paid to the historical discourse that defined the paradigm of the author’s ideological and thematic searches. The paper presents the results of analysing the author’s novellas, short stories and poems, in which the defining concepts are loyalty to the homeland and devotion to ancestral memories. The research is original in that it is the first to reveal the connection between the persona and the author. The research findings have shown the relevance of the ideas contained in B. Kharsiev’s creative work, their significance for understanding processes taking place in society in the post-Soviet decades.
