Fusion of Image and Thought Forming the Creative Basis of Fictionalised Journalistic Images in Mustai Karim’s Sketch Stories

Abstract.
The purpose of the study is to identify the ideological and content-related nature of M. Karim’s works written in the sketch story genre. The subject of the analysis is the personal and creative portraits of K. Simonov, M. Dudin, R. Gamzatov and M. Tursunzoda, classics of Soviet poetry. Scientific novelty of the study is determined by the fact that the author, having innovatively expanded the genre potential of the sketch story, synthesises a character’s personal qualities and his artistic convictions, life principles in a sketch story. As a result, it has been shown how their distinctive features in connection with social and creative activities become the figurative semantic centre of depiction and the core when transforming facts and situations into a fictionalised journalistic image.
