Specificity of Formal Analysis of Non-Morphological Derivatives in the Modern Russian Language

Abstract. The aim of the study is to describe the features of applying the formal method for analysing the lexemes formed in modern Russian by non-morphological methods. The article discusses the main difficulties of such an analysis, gives the principles in accordance with which it is advisable to study such derivatives and presents the hierarchy of formal indicators necessary for the word-formation analysis. The scientific novelty of the study lies in putting forward the idea of consistent and systematic consideration of cases of Russian non-morphological word formation in the synchronous aspect taking into account formal features. As a result, an algorithm for the formal word-formation analysis of Russian non-morphological derivatives is proposed.
