Complex verbs with the multiple action suffix -хь in the Kabardian-Circassian language

Abstract.
The aim of the research is to identify actional meanings in the verb with the suffix -хь in the Kabardian-Circassian language. The work is novel in that it represents the first attempt to substantiate the presence of the affixes of the mode of action in the verb of the specified language, taking into account the ways of their formation and the regularity of the models of the studied group, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of factual material (with respect to semantics, morphophonology, inflection). The research findings indicate the presence of actional meanings in the studied language expressed by different affixes, as well as the high valence of some local preverbs in combination with the suffix -хь in the verb of the Kabardian-Circassian language involved in the construction of complex models of the multiple mode of action. The studied suffix -хь is included in the composition of verbs with both transitive and intransitive meanings. Less productive affixes of verb formation in the series under consideration demonstrate more diverse distributional capabilities that contribute to the development of the entire word-formation and inflectional system of the verb and the expansion of the theory of word production of the studied language.
