Abstract.
The article analyzes the poetic world of Svetlana Yakovlevna Levit, a contemporary culturologist and philosopher known in the global humanities community for her large-scale scientific and educational activities. The book of poems "Garden of Unearthly Chants" (2018) provides an opportunity to look at the work of the honored scientist from new perspectives – not only scientific-encyclopedic, but primarily literary-aesthetic, lyrical-musical, since the very title of the poetry collection evokes broad associations. Accordingly, the aim of the research is to comprehend the image of the lyrical heroine, the substantive and artistic originality of S. Ya. Levit's poetry, which preserves the classical traditions of Russian literature. The scientific novelty of this research lies in determining the interconnections of Levit's poetics with the aesthetic movements of the 18th-19th centuries and the modern literary process. As a result, it is necessary to note the contrast of romantic and realistic imagery, the conjugation of analytical and emotional motifs, the expressiveness of reminiscences and allusions, the richness of epithets, comparisons and metaphors, metrorhythmic diversity and musical orientation, which are characteristic of the lyrical work of a poet-philosopher reflecting on "eternal" themes and affirming enduring values.
