Abstract.
The study aims to provide the structural-semantic classification of proper names (poetonyms) functioning in dramatic and prose texts by Bashkir authors, to determine their role and significance in literature. The article analyzes examples from works of various genres (drama and prose). The scholarly novelty lies in identifying the characteristics of poetonyms through the application of structural-derivational and lexico-semantic approaches. This not only allows for a more detailed investigation of the internal structure and semantics of poetonyms but also reveals their significance in shaping the cultural identity of the Bashkir people. In light of modern linguistic trends focused on integrating various analytical methods, this study represents a significant contribution to the understanding of the onomastic system of the Bashkir language. As a result, the study identified names most characteristic of Bashkir culture, symbolizing specific qualities, and revealed how proper names reflect the cultural and historical features of the Bashkir people, their traditions, and values.
