Linguistic representation of the conceptual components of the linguocultural constant NACHHALTIGKEIT in German podcasting

Abstract. This article is devoted to the study of the cognitive content of a basic constant of German culture and its representation in media discourse. The research aims to develop a descriptive construct of the conceptual space of the linguocultural constant NACHHALTIGKEIT (SUSTAINABILITY) in the contemporary German-speaking environment. In the article, the lexical unit NACHHALTIGKEIT is examined as a constant of German culture and analyzed as a complex, multidimensional linguistic unit. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that it is the first one to identify the primary and secondary conceptual features of the linguocultural constant NACHHALTIGKEIT, allowing for the determination of its modern semantic content. As a result of the study, the following were identified: a current feature manifesting climate change semantics, and additional features: 1) a dominant feature possessing the procedural meaning of constant future-oriented development, and 2) structure-forming conceptual features – capital, energy, and environment – which are actualized in the economic and socio-cultural spheres within an ecological context.
