Abstract.
The article is devoted to a comparative study of such interplicate final concepts as PURPOSE, CONDITION, and CONCESSION. The purpose of the work is to identify the features of the representation of the concepts of PURPOSE, CONDITION, and CONCESSION in Russian and Chuvash linguistic worldviews. The scientific novelty of this work lies in the fact that it is the first to identify the dynamics of finality as a cognitive interface between the subject of cognition and objective reality, as a marker structure of the subject’s perception of causal relationships. The article examines speech planning as a dynamic process in which the speaker takes into account internal and external conditions that shape their communicative goals. Since the speaker is not free to choose their utterance, they operate within a field of numerous constraints and consciously construct a path to achieve their goal, resulting in various semantic modifications in their speech. The study found that external and internal conditions determine the speaker’s communicative goals, and if they cannot be achieved, a tactical retreat (concession) occurs. Interplicate concepts of PURPOSE, CONDITION, and CONCESSION are an integral cognitive tool for interacting with the objective world, allowing us to operate not only with actual, but also with potential and alternative possibilities. The forms and types of representatives of these concepts in different linguistic worldviews are historically and culturally conditioned.
