The semiotic nature of the fractal model of the British poetic world in the 19th-21st centuries

Abstract. The purpose of the study is to identify tendencies in the cognitive-semiotic dimension of the fractal model of the British poetic world of the 19th-21st centuries from the perspective of Romanticism, Modernism, and Postmodernism. The scientific novelty lies in proposing, for the first time, a concept for interpreting and modeling the cognitive-semiotic dimension of the fractal model of the British poetic world of the 19th-21st centuries in the form of fractals functioning as terminals of a cognitive scenario; in creating a graphic fractal model of the British poetic world of the 19th-21st centuries in its linguosemiotic dimension; and in identifying the spectrum of numerological symbolism in W. Wordsworth’s poem “We Are Seven” as fractals of an interpretive cognitive scenario. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the semiotic nature of the fractal model of the British poetic world operates within the informative constructs of artistic concepts and frames, in whose nominative fields conceptual tropes and blends are implemented. These mark basic cultural codes that act as micro- and macrosegments of the fractal model of the poetic world, which constitutes an informative linguistic projection of the mathematical theory of fractals.
