METRIC SYNTHESIS OF THE SLIDER-CRANK MECHANISM

Abstract. The article describes metrical synthesis of the slider-crank mechanism according to the predetermined position function. The paper shows drawbacks of methodology of linkage synthesis in three positions used in Laboratory Work № 10 of the Department "Theory of Mechanisms and Machines" of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The authors suggest an algorithm of synthesis of the slider-crank mechanism, which provides the best performance of this position function. Methodology of calculation is based on solution of the optimization problem using the fine function. By calculation it is proved that synthesis of the slider-crank mechanism by the method of interpolation from three points does not provide an optimal solution.
