FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICITY OF SYNONYMIC MEANS IN ORGANIZATION OF LITERARY TEXT CONCEPTUAL INFORMATION (BY MATERIAL OF ARTHUR SCHNITZLER’S STORY "DIE FREMDE")

Abstract. The author reveals the role of synonyms in the organization of a literary text semantic space. In text synonyms come into contact with surrounding lexical units, subordinating them and being subjected to transformations. Not only language synonyms bear resemblance but also the so-called contextual units that is those units, which are not interchangeable in a standard language. The use of interacting and overlapping lexical units, combined semantically, in a literary text is an important means for the organization of its semantic space. Semantically close units accumulate conceptual sense in text, in concentrated manner express the main idea of the work and reveal the individual-authorial world outlook.
