PHENOMENON OF COMIC IN CREATIVE WORKS OF M. YU. LERMONTOV

Abstract. The comic takes an important place in M. Yu. Lermontov’s artistic picture of the world. It is presented by epigrams, satire, ballad parodies, humorous letters and poems in poet’s creative works. Irony is an integral part of artist’s prose. However, tragic world view still dominates in his works that is represented in the image of the comic. Lermontov’s laughter is rarely joyful, bitter irony or sad smile are typical of the poet.
