BIBLICAL INTERPRETANTS IN STRUCTURE OF N. KHVYLEVOI’S STORIES

Abstract. The article gives the analysis of N. Khvylevoi’s prose using an intertextual approach suggested by researcher M. Riffaterre. The basic biblical interpretants found in the stories from the book "The Blue Etudes" are presented, their role in expanding the meanings of texts is described, and their meta-textual function is analyzed. The article gives an opportunity to consider in a new way the creative work of N. Khvylevoi, to reveal its religious foundation.
