THE IMPORTANCE OF COGNITIVE STRATEGIES IN TEACHING PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE READING TO STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENTS

Abstract. In the article the importance of cognitive strategies which have a special place in teaching professionally oriented foreign language reading in a technical higher education establishment is revealed. Special attention is paid to the consideration of the notions "strategies of comprehension", "strategies of reading" and "cognitive strategies" in connection with the teaching professionally oriented foreign language reading to students.
