Sokolova Marina Valer'evna

Abstract. The article examines the semantic characteristics of the gender-marked animalistic phraseological units of the Mari language. The author analyzes the methods for linguistic representation of the distinctive features typical for men and women within the framework of the Mari linguoculture. The results of the associative experiment and the lexical means of the Mari language serve as an additional method for identification of gender images verbalized by phraseological units.
