Abstract. The main objective of teaching a foreign language in higher institution is the creation of conditions enabling independent, creative activity of students, contributing to personal and professional self-development. Interactive technologies of teaching contribute to the solution of the set objective. They are used at the non-linguistic faculties of the Buryat State University and in the training of future physicians, and at the Chita State Medical Academy.
