Abstract. The article examines the problem of developing higher school students’ autonomy on the basis of the mixed teaching technology by the example of the discipline "Foreign Language". The paper summarizes the views of Russian and foreign authors on the autonomy conception, identifies the integrity of organizational and pedagogical conditions to develop students’ autonomy and establishes the criteria to evaluate its level. The authors argue that the use of mixed teaching on the basis of the Moodle electronic platform raises considerably the higher school students’ autonomy level.
